We made this group to help people become aware of when members of the BKB family are taking private trips to the Gunks. The purpose of this group is to broadcast possible carpool/ ride-share opportunities, so that New York City's Rock Climbing Community can gather at the Shawangunk Ridge (the closest world class climbing terrain to the city). This group is for climbers local to Baltimore. I created this group to help build a larger local climbing community. There are a couple local places to try when the weather is decent and two indoor gyms. EarthTreks Columbia and EarthTreks Timonium are the two local gyms we will be using. When the weather is decent there will be outdoor climbing events with camping nearby. There are nearby places like Rocks State Park, Shaffer Rock, and SugarLoaf.
